Liz is a well-known member of the tech scene in London, England. As user experience researcher she works with large corporates and cutting-edge start-ups to help conceptualise and develop apps and other digital products.
She was an integral member of the original team behind JustGiving.com, the award-winning UK charity fundraising platform, which has raised over $3.5 billion for good causes. She now works as a lead user researcher for the Financial Times.
Liz fell in to tech after completing a Master’s degree in Journalism in her native Canada and coding HTML as a hobby.
During her undergraduate years she won awards for her writing, and also produced and edited a literary magazine.
After the sale of JustGiving, Liz started writing again by taking up National Novel Writing Month as a personal challenge. NaNoWriMo rekindled her love of the craft, and she continues to write.
